- Door won't close. An open garage in January is a heat bill, a snowdrift indoors, and an unlocked house. This is the classic U.P. emergency call.
- Vehicle trapped inside. Spring let go overnight and the opener can't lift dead weight. We can usually free the vehicle fast, then fix the door properly.
- Door off its track, hanging crooked. Hundreds of pounds held wrong over the opening. Keep people and pets out of the doorway and do not cycle the opener.

What happens when you call

Is a broken garage door an emergency?

A door that is stuck closed but secure can usually wait for a scheduled visit, which costs less.
How do I open my garage door when the power is out?
Pull the red emergency release cord hanging from the opener rail (door fully closed if possible), then lift the door by hand and set it down gently - do not let it drop. An after-hours or drop-everything call costs more than a scheduled visit - that is honest. What does not change: you get the number in writing before the work starts, so the premium is never a surprise.
